Be the one to make a difference

When children and young people have trusted adults in their life, it helps them build their resilience. This means that they are better equipped to deal with negative experiences, trauma and stress and are better supported to navigate challenges.

A trusted adult is someone they can talk to about things going on in their lives and any problems they are facing, someone who is there for them, listens and supports them.

You probably don’t realise what impact you can have on a young person’s life – whether it’s coming in to volunteer to read to a student, being a student mentor, or just general help in a classroom.

Unfortunately, not every child and young person in Tasmania has a trusted adult they can turn to. But together we can change that! Can you be the one for them?

Feel inspired?

You can be the one to give them a chance! Your support can make a difference. When we come together as a community, anything is possible.
